I remember having a pair my freshman year of high school then I gave that pair to my father when I grew out of them. Also, 2Pac having them made them even more iconic!

9’s need so much work it’s ridiculous…Same type of deal with the 12’s…In if they fix some of the problems, but since they likely won’t, it’s a pass…

The 2001-02 retros were very good. Not too far off from the OG shape, and the mudguard still existed lol.

I would complain about them skipping the Charcoals AGAIN, but I'm not even tripping until they fix the 9 mold.

Jordan Brand is asking us to buy this retro for the 5th time. The least they could do is get the shape correct.

My 2016 aged horribly! Soles turned yellow/orange super fast.

Had to do a restoration on them. Eventually, I did let them go. One reason why I can’t do all white soles.

Ps. Hope they keep that glitter on the black nubuck

I agree. I mean it's a forum so I'm not mad at anyone for voicing their opinions, good or bad.. however, 30 straight pages of complaining is overkill. Like fam, say your peace and exit the thread if you're not gonna cop... Cats in the taxi thread literally just repeating each other every other comment about the shape and then someone will post a pic of some ogs they got then the comment cycle repeats itself

lol, I had a 2pac calendar back in the day and he was wearing these in one of the pictures, he had on white pants with one pant leg rolled up, from that day forward, me and my boys referred to these as “The Pac’s”

It’s great to see other people were calling them that too, maybe it can become a more widely used nickname #iykyk

man, the nicknames remind me of the time when people local facebook groups were debating what to call the black&white 1s when they dropped in retro OG form back in 2014. at one point they wanted to call em the cookies and cream 1s

I don’t blame them. The Taxis look atrocious, and Jordan Brand should be taken to task on those. Aside from the banana toe, the mudguards not lining up with the midsoles on some pairs are hilariously bad. Anyone buying those is gonna have treat them like a mystery box, hoping they get a pair that don’t look like B-grades. To make matters even worse, Jordan Brand kept teasing everyone by giving us everything but the Taxis. Like, no one wanted the Royalty Taxis or the Taxi Flips. And now that they finally release them, they look like this?

I used to complain about people pointing out the minutiae as well, but for the prices Jordan Brand is now charging, and the repeated attempts over the years, they should kind of expect this sort of thing from the old heads. We let em get away with the Gentry era of midsole paint cracking on the 3s and 4s after 2-3 wears. Can’t let them keep doing that to us.
