Good eye, Captain!

The shape will be on point compared to the 2000, but the leather unfortunately won’t. The 2000 had proper thick cuts of FULL-GRAIN leather that was actually tumbled, not the split-grain leather with the faux tumbled pattern embossed on it that they been using since the mid-00s

By the way here’s todays anniversary:

If you think the quality is shoddy, then vote with your pockets and don’t buy them. Otherwise, Nike will continue to cut cost corners while increasing price to further maximize margin on the back of the consumer.

Nike can make a much better product. They just won’t if the inferior ones sells.

Can't wait for these. Still need to fix my OGs, it's a long term project that I will get to. Keeping them because we will NEVER get this quality of leather back...

Thanks for sharing you still have the originals from 2000.

The upper part still looks good for its age, especially since it doesn't have nicks and cuts on it. The soles separating and deteriorating is inevitable unfortunately because shoes are perishable like that, especially much worse when unworn.

The funny thing is I honestly don't recall these came out back in 2000.
