Blue Jumpman always has been and always will be better than the Concord, idc what anyone says
I know OG everything is always better as this is Niketalk, but this is one of the rare cases I prefer a change made to the retro.

I didn't even know the original pair was Concord until the 2016 release when they showed the detailed pics of a pair from the movie, and then the older heads on here schooled me on the Concord PE. As you all know well, it looked blue on screen.

Space Jams are my favorite shoe of all time, and I'll probably buy every high iteration that drops. But Blue > Purple.

I doubt this one will be limited in quantity since it's a projected December release as these annual XI releases traditionally have a high quantity.

Missed the 2016 pair been peeping 2000/2009 pairs on ebay maybe I should wait

Avoid the 2000 & 2009 versions as they may not be wearable now due to age. The 2009 was a total joke due to its quality and piss poor details. It doesn't make sense to overpay for something old or worn regardless of the popularity of a specific shoe.

Waiting for a newer version of a retro is always a better option.

I'm actually OK with both color variations of the Jumpman on the Space Jam XI.

I was in the same boat as you as I didn't know the original pair worn in the movie had the purple Jumpman. It appeared blue to me as well on screen and online images. So I thought the movie version had the blue Jumpman all these years until I read about it on this site.

But I was always aware the version Jordan wore in the 1995 NBA Playoffs had the purple Jumpman with the number 45.

Despite Jordan initially wearing the version with the purple Jumpman on court, I admit I tend to identify more with the blue Jumpman because it was the version initially released for retail in 2000.

I think it's cool we've had two color options regarding the Jumpman logo color on the Space Jam XI all these years.

What I want is for them to fix the front of the XI's.. joints got a snout nose that makes them look odd from top down AND for the PL to be the real deal. The 2016s have overcorrected PL height but way better PL than anything after the CGs.

Facebox, Jordan card, short toe box decent PL Space Jams with a 23 stitch ....

I’m in for space jams if they release. My 2016 pair upper felt flimsy and didn’t age well. Even tore at where the tongue is sewn to the spandex.

Well that’s what they tried this year!!! They city pack is actually quite nice and different. All 3 pairs have totally different materials and construction. Even the Rare Airs have thick leathers including the patent. For example Nightwing said Gammas back collar leather is back to the basic GR thin leather and not as thick as the Rare Airs and City Pack…obvious cost cutting technique.

I’m sorry, but I don’t like the idea of forcing the facebox just for the sake of it. I recall around 2004 most of us being tired of it and wanting a new box. They need to bring back 15s/16s if they want to bring the box back since those are the models it belongs to. Maybe I’d be cool with retro+ colorways that first released in a facebox, like the white metallic 5s come no next year, but OG colorways should have the OG box for the that model.

we don't need them anymore. they retro too much. sacramento 10s, playoff 7, chartreuse 14 could all be dropped in december. give 11s a break at this point

I concur, they could literally just change the color of some of the legacy color blockings and they would sell. I’m still waiting on my white and starfish (orange) 5s with a reflective tongue and black and starfish 6s with reflective accents.

the kids colorway did this recently and they're good, just a shame men's only. they need to go back to 1 or 2 pairs of lows in spring and 1 pair in the winter.

8 pairs of 11s this year and almost everything is forgettable. wild
