Jordan XI Space Jam (2000 version) - December 12, 2026

Just from watching some YouTube videos and seeing some IG posts, a lot of people seem to be legitimately p’d off about the $20 price hike. I still think these will sell out regardless, but we have seen surprises the last few years as far as these shoe releases, so we’ll see..

I get more excited for shoes like the Zoom Flight 5’s being released

I’m ngl $255 is insane. They better blackout the patent leather. These are not the 1995 PE so no reason to have the white lining tbh. Not a deal breaker but still

Line or no line, if these have Columbia 11 patent leather, they're automatically not worth $255, let alone even the $230 the Columbia's retailed for that they shouldn't have.

2016 to the office. I can’t believe these are almost 10 years old

The only 11 I could ever see myself even consider paying $255 retail would be an absolutely perfect black red release - thick patent leather w/white edges, current shape is fine, AND that lovely 96’ bright red outsole. I’d probably buy 3 pairs and just be done with them forever.
we should be getting their best at all times period. We lost as consumers when we accepted anything less. I’ll admit there were times back in 2006 where I knew the 4’s were complete garbage but just sucked it up. Moved that way for a while. Now? Nah

Agreed. Retros post 2005 have always been hit and miss in regards to quality. But back then, we were paying original retail for retros, which is a HUGE difference. JB heavily relies on revenue from retros, and the fact they keep raising prices while not always giving the best product is what is pushing folks away from the brand and buying less. A Jordan 1, with exception to a collab, shouldn't cost more than $100 imho. It's a legacy sneaker with 40 year old technology. Same goes for so many other Jordan models. The generation of folks who grew up with these Jordans are now in their 40s-50s, and comfort is becoming more important than style. The company really needs to re assess what the hell they are doing. I bought the Lightbone XI lows a few years back, because they look incredible. I was heavily disappointed with how uncomfortable they are. Incredibly stiff. I threw on my 01' snakes the other day, which were 10x more comfortable. That shouldn't be the case where an almost 20 year older sneaker is more comfortable.

Nike and JB must understand that the majority of people who buy the yearly 11 release only buys up that particular shoe. From that perspective, maybe $255 isn’t the worst they could pay. Parents and grandparents buying them up for their kids and grandkids as a Christmas present. I’m just trying to see another angle.

With that said, the $255 price tag is bananas. It’s even more bananical when you consider that only a few weeks before the space jam release is the BC IV’s, which are $230(?). Most folks here will pick up at least 2 pairs of that shoe. Now do the same for the space jams. 4 pairs total is $970 without factoring in taxes or shipping.

This will definitely be a very interesting holiday season for those 2 shoes. They will likely sell out, but the reactions of these price hikes are definitely not good and it’s an overwhelming amount. It appears that people are legitimately sick of the unnecessary price hikes

If these are Columbia 11 quality or worse, I'm out. As long as they're done right, I'll gladly snag two pairs of Black Cement 4s and White Infrared 6s and be done with sneakers until All-Star weekend next year or later. Depends on what JB has lined up for early 2027.

spring 2027 is when we should start to see the new silhouettes from Nike. This was mentioned in their conference call this week. If they look good that may distract me from anything JB.

I feel it. I'm mainly (hopelessly) waiting to see if Reebok will finally retro more of their pump line next year. Blacktop Battlegrounds, Bringbacks, proper Twilight Zones with the ERS cushioning, etc. I just need something man. 2 of my 3 pairs of on pumps are already pushing 10 and over 10 years old respectively. :rolleyes

Not sure how much longer my 09 pair will last. The increased pricing is irritating but I dont plan on purchasing much the rest of the year anyway so if these are good I'll be buying, didnt bother with the prior release
