Happy to see these again. Missed out on the OG because I think they were a LifeStyle or QuickStrike release. The local spots made it mandatory you buy the accompanying t-shirt or hat in order to get them.

Experts refer to that as the “Paid & Laid Era”. Can you imagine if we get XXI? What percent of people would prefer the white pair over the grey?

Curious to see how they turn out.. best retro + XIV. Had the OG and loved them. They had the same interior as the 05 last shots, suede was nice cool grey no dark or too light ashy or dry suede. Shape of course was great back then. They better come correct. lol

I usually wear my AJ's to ball in, had the OG of this colorway but unfortunately didn't get to wear them enough to my liking due to the heavy heel slipping on court related to the ankle collar lining that was made of a different material than the OG XIV.
But I must say that this is a shoe that definitely stands out on its own in a good way, one of the very best looking AJ you can get for casual wear, visually the execution is just perfect and that smooth suede was on another level.
Personally I will have to pass this time around, but if you have the money go for it, this one is well worth it.
