Just bought new 55 inch Flat Screen, is it supposed to look like this?

Bought an LG 55 inch LH40, 1080p, TruMotion (?), 120Hz from Brandsmart for $1100

, usually costs between $1400-1600. This isn't my first experience with an HDTV, a lot of my friends and prior roommates have them.  This one seems to be a little bit tooooo vivid, like when I try to watch an HD movie on HBO it just looks ridiculous. I feel like I'm watching a video game, whenever a character moves its sort of jitters, and when camera angles zoom out or it doesn't look as smooth. It just doesn't look like the human eye can handle it. Is this the new technology? Is it suppose to look like this? It looks a little bit too ridiculous. Is it something within the options? Can anyone help?

Turn the trumotion off.....then search on AVforums for the correct visual settings for your set.....be easy son, it will look better in no time...

I did everything my TV told me to do, I'm not sure if I calibrated it? i wouldn't know how to do that

My boy told me the same thing, I can't find it in the manuel to turn trumotion off

This is why I decided to save my money, and go with a 60hz LCD. I would have been crossed eyed by now.

120hz amazing for Sports, but not for everything else.

Im guessing its the TruMotion technology making it look weird.

Find a way to turn that off, and im sure it will make it look normal again.

Your manual wouldn't tell you how to do it.  You can have an electronic store do it for like $300 (not worth it) or you can do it yourself (it's not hard).  Check the link below for a detailed how to

man them top of the line joints (i think but idk) process the motion so fast that the fluidity is usually in the process lag.
idk...
all i know is that 1 year of LCD tv made my eyes worse and now that i copped a OG tv (NDS too) my eyes dont hurt watching tv.

Fail, you shoulda got a Sony since you can turn off their motionflow (120/240hz)
