I didnt wanna pay retail for any of these but it seems like the purple ones are somewhat limited and I dont wanna miss out so I guess imma pull the trigger on those.

this shoe has a sentimental value to me, back when they 1st released in the mid-late 90's, this was the very 1st pair of shoes i bought on my own (birthday money), i ran my 1st pair to the ground, literally had holes on the soles, these are a must cop anytime/everytime adidas releases them. this time around i'm doubling up!!!lol

These are a bit stiff to play ball in and cushion feel a bit dead. We are really spoiled by the Nike Kobe line imo. Once you have wear the Kobe IV, V or VI for basketball, everything else is either subpar or disappointed

not feeling the white/black pair though... the og and re-released pairs had patent leather black stripes, this years release has like a weird leather.

It's some shiny leather material but definitely NOT patent.

The retros have patent leather too 

um cool guy, i mentioned that the og's and retro's "re-released" have patent leather, the current white/black crazy 8's have a weird leather. check the facts before throwing the "false" at someone. i recently copped the white and black pair and simply returned them because they didnt have the patent leather.

that's what i was saying from jump... i was mislead (thanks to eastbay) so i copped them, once they arrived at my house, i was dissappointed so i returned them.

Completely agree. Since I bought the black/white pair I've only worn them to play basketball one time. They've been in the shoe box ever since 

Kind of going back to my original post, I think if the lacing system was different or better, I would like them more. The traction was good, cushion was good enough
