since sales are low, don't you think it's smart to capitalize on the Finals/Championship hype by putting a poor selling sneaker and making it a Limited Edition thing to spark sales and interest. Lebron models have been trash since the 11's. But Nike made sure to do some limited/theme crap to spike sales, which did help (2k gimmick, making the What The Series GR because the public craved that elusive theme, etc.)
my bad on that. I was thinking the 08 Olympics. Nike released a Oly/Champ shoe for Kobe the following year called "Beijing 2 Finals", where Kobe came back from getting an Olympic Gold right into the following NBA season and winning a ring.
