**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

Chargers are DEAD to me.

They will be just like the Clippers as a 2nd rate pro franchise in LA.Even worse actually, playing in the 29K capacity stubhub center for 3 years and then moving into Stan Kronke's Rams stadium in Inglewood to be a tennant. Heck LA & Socal still is very much a Raider town and when they move to Vegas Radier nation still will beat the Rams & Chargers popularity wise in LA & Socal.

Gates has 1 year left in him before he retires. Rivers is done in 3 years when his contract is up.

Just glad LT came out and said he's making sure when he goes into the HOF that his statue will say on it "San Diego Chargers".

F Dean Spanos greedy punk ***.

At this point Clarkson going into his 4th year and Randle 3rd season of actual playing time. They won't be back after this season.

They both are just average role players who will NEVER allstar caliber players in their careers.

But this is NT where certain members on this thread are fine with paying Clarkson $50+ million to come off the bench as a 6th man and would be ok with giving Randle a $20 million a year contract extension to come off the bench also.

could be worse, we could be giving an aging slow footed 3 17 mil to come off the bench...oh wait.

man, dudes really turned on JC like that?
we need him to get buckets off the bench
12 mil is not bad for his talent, just need him to improve his 3pt shooting and at least try on defense
guys like austin rivers, jeremy lin , solomon hill, brandon knight, jamal crawford and even reggie jackson making more than him...
i remember some of you wanted to give solomon hill that bag.

People been saying the same thing about JC since his 2nd year in the league.

so what is you complaining about?

not sure if youre aware of all the changes that have happened with this team since his 2nd year

You miss the point or fail to comprehend. A player going into his 4th season like JC isn't going to all of sudden improve his weaknesses in his game just because he has new players around him with slightly better talent.

you cereal?
do you even basketball...which is a team sport.
a sport that is reliant on having others (established players or young improving players ) around you to elevate your strengths and mask your weaknesses

you mentioned yourself, hes not an all star caliber player
we're not asking him to lead the team
he's a 6th man who will be used to get buckets

Rob was on the radio recently saying that the Lakers are already in position to have two max slots next off season without having to make additional moves because of the D'Angelo trade. I assumed that meant they wouldn't resign Randle to retain that space. They also have to get out of Jordan's contract for that to happen?
