Vando in prime form makes a huge difference specially when paired with AD or another solid/ decent defender (Gabe ? or Spence?). What scares me is this clammoring reminds me of when Vogels defence was gonna get unlocked when Ariza comes back

D'lo has been fine the majority of the season. Elite 3rd option if you actually look around. It's corny to act like he's flawless but just as corny to act like he hasn't beat good in his role

I did notice he was acting extra weird and spooked after the Wolves game tho. Stuttering and hands shaking in his postgame interview. Was kinda bizarre to watch

Sure, I'm not trying to argue opinions...just stating mine.
All season (and last) in my opinion he stinks... that doesn't mean he's not capable of having good offensive games from time to time.
He's a negative on the defensive end, and if he's not making shots I question if he even tries.
He's a streaky shooter, capable of hitting 7-8 threes a game...which is cool, but I prefer my point guards to be able to push the ball, penetrate the defense and put pressure on the rim, be able to finish at the basket, etc all of which he doesn't do nearly enough if at all.
Put an athletic defender on him and that takes him out of the game completely...
Basically one dimensional 3rd options aren't my cup of tea... has he been good? I guess if you take the highs and lows offensively they probably average out...but then if you factor in defense and any of the extra stuff that comes with his ego I'll gladly be ready to move on from him asap.

The Lakers are 4th in the league in pace.
And DLo is only behind Vando of the guys who returned on pace on the team.
Another comparison Halliburton is 103.35 PACE. DLo is 103.01.
DLo has warts as a player. Significant ones. It’s why he isn’t a perennial all-Star type player. Lion’s share are physical tools. But third options around the league play for the most part significantly worse than he does. The difference is frequency bias.

Nothing D-Lo does has really mattered up to this point good or bad. His terrible December was one of the main catalysts for us getting in a hole and his bounce back after February has been a integral part of the team's resurgence. But he's going to be judged by the playoff performance should we get there, period. Which is more than fair.

Now I did say 3rd best player…not 3rd option, for the other top teams in the west. I’m sure for some teams maybe that’s up for debate so I’ll list more than one for some teams and let you decide.

Most of us in this thread have a fixed opinion of DLo... how many times have you seen people mentioning that nothing really matters with him until we see what he does in the postseason?
Ain't nobody rooting for DLo to fail.. if he plays well obviously that's going to help the squad. I have the lowest of low expectations for him in big games.
Maybe this is the year where he proves himself... and if so, great I'll tip the cap and give him all props in the world.
Until then, he stinks...
