Problem with using more than the $5M MLE is it hardcaps the team at the first apron. The $5M would hardcap them at the second apron at least.

If Bron does take that pay cut, I can imagine he only did it because Rob has some moves lined up. If he had moves that LeBron didn’t like, I’m sure he wouldn’t have taken a pay cut at all.
