I got a feeling the center the Lakers end up getting is defensive minded Robert Williams III. There’s the least amount of chatter, if any, regarding Timelord.

I don’t see Pelinka giving up Knecht plus two frp’s to get Kessler. That’s an overpay imo.

Williams is better than Valanciunas.

And Chicago wants a frp for past his prime Vucevic.

Getting Williams and a player like Thybulle for Rui, JHS, Wood, Reddish, and a 2nd rounder would be a solid consolation. More importantly Lakers upgrade the roster without giving up any first rounders.
And it opens up a roster spot.
