With your typical 38-40 year old player, absolutely. But Lebron has not been a detriment to our championship hopes this year despite his age.

But the injury prone player you mentioned? That absolutely has been a detriment, obviously, along with Russ, and the poorly constructed roster. The oldest guy on the team hasn't been the problem. Actually, he would have largely contributed to a championship this year if everything else were in order.

Do you think under the same conditions that Steph, Giannis or KD could carry this roster to the title?

To me it’s not as much about Lebron as it is the roster. The league is too good now, players are too talented…you have to have depth and overall talent on the roster in order to be successful. Not just a top heavy team with a bunch of minimum salary players filling out the rest of the rotation.

Giannis, yes. He's what AD would be if he had some damn heart. He's kept his team in elite status over the past 2 seasons with both his 2nd and 3rd options missing significant time. By force of will alone almost.
