Recently i've been feeling bloated after drinking milk. I'm guessing that means i'm lactose intolerant?
The thing is, when i was younger i drank milk everyday fine. What's the problem?

A lot of people stop producing the enzyme required to digest lactose as they get older. When I was a baby I was super lactose intolerant, when I was a kid I was fine, but as soon as I hit 12-13, it came right back. Now I don't eat dairy at all. Feels bad man.

I DO make exceptions for my moms homemade perogies, and just take the crazy tummyache and imminent puking. SO worth it.

Yep.. Happens to most people, I read somewhere that over or about 80% of people in general are lactose intolerant (the remaining 20% mainly being Europeans because cheese has been part of their diet since ancient times).. But I have a feeling this statistic may be skewed a bit..

Regardless, it's definitely unappreciated..

I cope with lactose-free milk, closest I can get to a normal bowl of cereal/protein shake..

The thing about as you grow older you become more lactose-intolerant is true.. it didn't hit me all the way until I got to college. Lactose free milk ftw. but I can handle a little bit of regular 2% fat free milk here and there..
