so what happened to this dude? wasnt there a lot of hype around him and him being a superstar when he got to the nba? i completely forgot he was even in the draft. hes barely about to get picked in the first round

That's why I think he'd be a good fit for them because he really needs that direction and coach that's going to dig into him, instead of just letting him do whatever the hell he wants. He could turn out to be a pretty solid player (if he's willing to learn) by being on a team coached by Pop and led by Tim Duncan.
