Laptop batteries

I was researching on Google on how to properly train a laptop battery and I kept finding conflicting answers. Do you all have any suggestions on how to properly train a new laptop battery?

If it makes a difference, the computer is a Toshiba Portege R705-P35.

I've heard you're supposed to cycle your battery charges and refills and what not.
Too confusing for me.
Mac stops charging when the battery is full so no overload.

Depends on what materials the battery uses. Ni-cad, Li-On, Li-Po, etc...

That's not safe for the computer, what if you have a power failure. First thing that goes is the power supply within the laptop then your motherborad gets fried. You might want to reconsider if you care for your computer.

Op nice choice for a laptop. Im pretty sure toshiba has a software within the computer power consumption that helps you cycle the battery i think its called eco smart not to sure.

I used to leave my laptop plugged in at all times when I was working. I found that after a pretty short amount of time my laptop became dependent of the power cord. The battery life declined significantly. On full charge it lasts maybe 30 minutes without the cord. I advise sparingly using the cord.

I also have a Toshiba but its an older model from 2008

best advice i can give is to let it fully charge then use it till it gets low and then charge again.

rinse and repeat.

but always take off the charger once its fully charged
