anyone else experienced this problem where the port to the power adapter wont work. it's not the battery or the adapter cause i tried it on another computer.

Yes. I've had it happen to me a few times on my old laptop. It can be an easy but expensive problem to fix so hopefully you're under warranty. Oh and jiggling the power adapter inside the port only makes it worse so try to avoid doing that.

I always find it funny when people who wouldn't have helped anyway come into threads to make smartass comments that don't make a difference to the possible solution and just end up looking silly.

yup your dc jack needs to be reseated or replaced. DONT GO TO GEEKSQUAD. lol
 
Yeah, I had that problem. It was my old Dell Latitude laptop. The port where you plug in the power adapter to it was damaged. I had to get it fixed at a computer shop. It ended up costing a little over $100 for me. I hope that helps.

I have a battery problem with my laptop, as well. My battery won't fully charge, anymore. It randomly stops at 67%, 71%, 76%, 81% and 90%. Does it mean that I need to buy a new battery?
