Its so far North of everything and its kinda offset from the strip itself.  Totally not worth it.  IMO its much better to get a cheap room at Luxor and stay South Strip if youre lookin for a budget.

If a good deal is that important to you to the point where you'd stay off the strip to save a few bucks than maybe you shouldn't go to Vegas just yet. Pay the price to be in a good location. It's worth it. Location > Room quality/price.

Location was what we were wondering about; we have a dude hooking us up with room there for $40night, but we still weren't sure if that was worth not being right on The Strip.

Just think about it. If one of yal get any play, being on the strip is gonna be far more convenient in bagging a girl than having to take a cab 2 miles up somewhere off the strip (not to mention a lot of girls wouldn't even do that). Plus it's nice to just be able to leave your hotel room at any time and be on the strip full of people.

Tropicana, Excalibur, and Luxor are all hotels where you can find good rates at and be in a good location south of the strip. If you want to be in the middle try Harrahs or Flamingo. Also Mojodmonky (sp) seems to know a lot about what to do when you actually get there. Hit em up, he gave me good advice on my last trip.

For anyone rolling to Vegas this weekend, if ANY of yall are with any girls who are VIRGIN ROLLERS for craps, seriously... hit me up.  I'll pay their passline bet just so they can throw them dice while I play.  I am a firm believer in the luck of the virgin roller.

Me and the Company are going to Vega's end of the summer.. We have an addiction with going to AC and here is a vid on how we do it out there

.. We seriously have gambling issues now and were not even 21..So i can imagine how vegas will shake out for us

Under 21?  Have fun off the strip.  They locked down the under-21 thing last summer after that club (name slipping my mind) got busted...

Not that I know what any of y'all look like but maybe I'll see you dudes in Vegas this weekend.  Heading out tomorrow morning for my Bachelor Party.  Gonna be posted up at XS on sat night.  Maybe I throw out some random "tap tap pulls" hahahaha.

As far as players cards go, in my experience Total Rewards (Harrahs, Caesars, Paris, Ballys, etc...) seems to be a bit more giving than some of the others.  I dont gamble huge stakes by any means, probably drop $500-1000 at the craps table over a weekend, and MGM players card doesn't give me nada.  My boy will get comp offers all the time from the Total Rewards family of hotels and he probably plays about the same as me.  I just much rather prefer to stay South Strip which is why I'm kinda tied to the MGM family of hotels.  I'll be at THEhotel this weekend, hopefully its not completely dead over on that side of the strip.

? I find it a lot easier to navigate than the Wynn and a lot of the MGM/Mirage properties. Basically if you know where the Grand Luxe and the poker room are relative to your position, you're good to go.

He means it far from the other places. It's like a 30 minute walk or even more to the Bellagio. I say Bally's, Bellagio, Paris, and PH are the best overall locations.

Na, they track with your players card I think. what you can do is buyin for a lot at a table, bet a couple hands at the rated play (ask the pit boss), and continue this for awhile...just until they list you at that rate. then go ahead and drop down a bit if you need to until the put comes back. You don't gotta bet more than the rated amount if that's your aim though.

Of course, playing slots is the easiest way to get comped, but also the easiest way to lose money.

YOU SHOULD NEVER PLAY FOR COMPS. Just bet what you normally would on your players club. If you happen to get comps/free rooms, great. If not, keep it moving. Playing just to get comp points can end up costing you quite a bit.

I couldn't imagine coming to Vegas thinking your going to be running around popping bottles if your under 21?!?.....You'll be lucky to check into a room if your under 21. If your on the cheap get a room at the Imperial Palace as it's location is great for the price. Use you card while you gamble at all times. Vegas is in a bad spot right now and you'll be able to find good deals for dead weekends. Although the worst part will be over here shortly with SuperBowl, NCAA, spring break and summer around the corner. Don't get all messed up your first night and sleep till 9pm the next night because that's never fun.

I stayed at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay a few years back. It's a really nice hotel, every room is a suite but it definitely is not a younger crowd atmosphere. Lots of old people and families. It was cool though because I saw Vince Vaughn. Also, it's pretty far from the central part of the strip but a very nice hotel.
I'm going to Vegas in March during March Madness and staying at Encore. Anyone been there that can share any insight?

I think the flight/hotel combos aren't too bad. I am paying $500 for round trip flight and 3 nights at the Monte Carlo.

If I recall correctly you just had a trip out there? How was it, what clubs did you go to, and do you have any recommendations?
