Not sure how many police there are on here and I know cops are not one of NTs favorite subjects...

Are there aspects of law enforcement/your job that you personally have moral objections to? Do you encounter situations on the regular where your morals come into conflict with what "protocol" states that you do?

Just something I've always wondered...

Sometimes you just have to use your personal judgement. Do what you feel is right

I'm sure all the cops that aren't power hungry d-bags have internal conflict. But they know they have a job to do. They have to come home in one piece and they have to "play the game" to rise in the ranks so they end up doing things they don't like to people they probably can relate to

Judgement and using your discretion is big in the profession. It's what you choose to be. Most use it wisely, however a small number don't and it puts a stain on the entire department/unit/city/etc.

I'm not in law enforcement, but I have many friends that are. I've thought about it as well, it is a profession that does make you feel like you are doing more than just getting paid.

yea i mean i know they have internal conflicts and such.

i guess im more interested in what aspects they have issues with and how they approach them. i doubt anyone would put themselves out there considering NT is a publicly accessible forum though
