** LCD TV HELP **

Alright, so I'm going to be coppin a new 32" set and need some advice/reviews on these two TV's I've narrowed down to. TV will be used forquite a bit of gaming.

I know one is LED backlight but is the picture quality that much better for the extra cash i'm going to be droppin?
Any other advice/suggestions are welcome.

It is better in terms of deeper blacks. But I doubt it'll matter that much to a casual person.

get 720p and 60hz if youre coppin a 32 inch

Honestly op, I was in the same place as you last year when I needed a 32inch for my room and was deciding between a samsung and sony 1080p. But I did lots ofresearch and went to see TVs in person and 1080 is pointless on 32s unless your going to be sitting within 3 feet lol.

get 720p and save over $300+ at least that was the difference when I was looking.

I ended up buying a sharp aquos 720p and its amazing, I payed $400 and its way clearer and better than some of the 1080ps I saw and has a response time of like3.

unless the difference is 50, dont waste the extra on 1080p

and when I asked for advice people told me not to get a 1080 but I still wouldnt listen, until I saw them IN PERSON. 32 is too little for 1080

I get a bit of a discount at BBY so even if it's $100 difference for a 1080p I don't mind spending it since it's already at areasonable price. Unless for a TV at 32", 1080p makes the difference barely noticeable.

EDIT: so 60hz to 120hz won't matter much either?

Sony and Samsung will continuously go back and forth in a never ending battle for the top spot for LCDs.

anything under 40 inches, you won't be able to tell a difference between 1080p and 720p, so save some money.

120hz would maybe help picture a little bit, but again... negligible. any HD on smaller screens look pretty solid. grab a vizio, save some money.

I can get a SHARP Aquos LED for 700 though

Im not too sure what to search for when looking for tv's. but i want the best picture possible.. for blu rays and my ps3/xbox360. Can someone shed somelight on what to look for. i would like to go for 1080p 240 hz. which is best right now. i dont wanna spend more than 3 grand.

i had this in mind.. anything better than this ?
