LeBron Haters Call To Arms! (The Haters Unification Thread)

Show me the quote where Kobe said his goal was to personally "one up" Jordan and that's reason why he keeps playing like YOU said is his motivation.

I've looked I can't find it anywhere. In fact I've found quotes to the contrary, when I get home to a computer I can post them for you if you'd like me to.
Dude posted it like 10 times...even took up almost a entire thread page..... in doing so. So I see your just trolling now. Dude has posted the exert from phils book to which Kobe said it directly to MJ...Which I can respect him saying it to his face, especially at a young unproven age. Phil even said that is why Kobe tried to condition himself and put himself in a position so he could play long enough to achieve this goal....and whatever he has done its working...Not that he will ever surpass MJ, but that he has did a good job in keeping his body in a position to which he could still play and strive to do so.
how are people still arguing over this? im sure kobe isnt the first player that wanted to be better than mike, him wanting to one up mike is part of the reason we got to enjoy 5 lakers championships over the years. i dont get why kobe/laker fans are denying this like its a bad thing. i hope the next superstar that we get after kobe retires wants to one up kobe/lebron/mike

I think this is the quote you are talking about

Kobe said to Jordan 'You know I can kick your *** one on one.'"

How can you connect that quote into meaning that "Kobe pretty much played his entire career, all to basically top the stats/rings that Jordan achieved." and " his goal is to one up MJ" like you are saying it does.

Ok again I see you are trolling skipping and entire paragraph...and adding one sentence. He wanted to get more rings and more mvps.

"Kobe was hell-bent on surpassing Jordan as the greatest player in the game. His obsession with Michael was striking,"
- Phil Jackson

If his goal was to surpass mj and get more rings more mvps etc..... um hello he hasn't achieve this yet. So what is he playing for?

Kobe didn't say that quote. Since when did Phil quotes become Kobe quotes?

Whos the one trolling and not listening?

I asked you to show me the quote where Kobe said his whole motivation for playing "one upping Jordan"

I'm waiting for a quote where Kobe said on the record

@Thangz

So because Kobe wanted to be the greatest player of all time, it means he wants to "one up" Jordan?

So when Jordan wanted to be the greatest player of all time, it meant he personally wanted to "one up" Wilt or Russell?

And now when Lebron says he wants to be the greatest player of all time, does that mean he personally wants to "one up" Jordan?

Everybody who play in the perimeter, has games and athleticism are doomed to be compared to Jordan. I never understand why. :{

Yet Tp isn't or never will be considered a top 50 player EVER.... So that kinda discredits your whole rings define careers. Hell outta the 50 greatest players of all time about half of them have 2 rings and most of that half have 1 ring or none.....Its only like 10-15 players or the list that have multiple championships. So again still doesn't make sense. Now if your saying rings define goatness then yea ill go with that.... but greatness top alltime players then no. Unless out of that 50 greatest players list 10-15 are great and the rest are well just ok or role players.

Now to be considered the greatest ever to play yeah rings are definitely a factor. But to discredit the other 75% of the greatest players of all time because they didn't get multiple rings just isn't fair. Like you said some circles said Oscar was a goat....and guess what he has a whooping 1 ring and 1 mvp......

So he isn't one of the greatest of all time now? What about jerry west who in many circles is named one of the greatest lakers of all time and definitely goat status seeing as the symbol of nba is the man. He has what 1 ring and 1 chip.

Again I could see if an overwhelmingly majority of the goat players have multiple chips...but when the majority of them don't or never even won a championship it kinda kills your whole rings defines makes you goat status.

So who's number 50 on the GOAT PG list? Please elaborate. I don't know who it is but you're telling me that guy is way better than Tony Parker and had a better career? Tony Parker: 3 rings, 1 Finals MVP. Been top 10 guard for almost 10 years now. We saw and know his capabilities. Please tell me why he won't get on that list and who's better than him at number 50?

And i never said that you can't be one of the Goat if you don't have multiple rings. But having multiple rings will DEFINE how successful and where you will end up on the Goat list after you retired. For example. If Jordan only have lets say 1 ring. His career won't be as much of a success or as glorified as the MJ with 6 rings.

Lebron is a hypocrite. You know he want MANY rings. For him to say that rings don't define a player career is simply contradicting to his actions and his plan.

"The game is much more appreciated by fans, as repped through the viewer ratings of ABC."

Yeah heat fans, and 90% of them are fake fans who used to be die hard Cavs fans, then bandwagon with Heat when Lebron left.
Their used be so many Cavs fan when they consecutively lead the east 3 years ago but now they've all disappeared. :
lol

Like Bulls fans in the 90s han?

Lol. It seems now a days that the argument of Jordan > lebron is made more and more by people who have never really seen Jordan play. Like the legend keeps on growing bigger than it really is. Jordan had his off days like lebron has his and Kobe.

I don't see lebron as top 10 all time. Not yet at least.

Somebody is putting their backup/troll account to good use :{.

It comes to a point where enough is enough, dude seriously said one player is obviously a better person than the other. That's when u hit the ignore button or just stop responding all together.

Like we really know enough about these guys, to actually judge their character...straight foolishness.

The only photo I can see from above is Muhammad Ali. You keep mentioning him and he did some great things but I hope realize how a lot people don't like him for obvious reasons.

You can dislike Kobe all you want

You're going out of your way, gossiping making up stories about him to justify your hate for him.

When you do this I'm going to call you out of your foolishness

I'll say it again what does this have to do with Basketball?

Are you going to answer or are you going to post more rap lyrics and focus on off the court stuff?

Newsflash!

A lot people don't want to hear social commentary from celebrities

What makes their opinion more valid than yours and mine?

And im telling you it doesn't...Oscar is I think 3 or 4 on the list and he has 1....A good amount of the top half of the greatest 50 players of all time don't have multiple rings. Its ppl that are much higher on the list who have 2 or 1 or no rings at all...and there are ppl who are on the lower end of the list who have multiple rings.

Rings aren't the be all to end all is my point. It is too many other variables etc....For example jerry west is higher then pippen, yet pippen has more rings. Wilt is higher then Shaq, yet Shaq has more rings....I mean I could go on and on but I think you get the point.

How is he a hypocrite, he wanted to win he left Cleveland. He said he wants many rings, but they don't define who I am as a player. And history shows that they don't. I could see your point if he said I dont CARE or it doesn't matter if I ever get a ring.....then went to get rings. And that's how you are trying to twist

I mean if you dont like em, then cool...w/e. But to twist and misconstrue what a person says just to make up a reason to dislike them is just silly. There is a clear difference between someone saying I dont care/dont want something, and having something wont define who they are as a person.

unrelated but looking at the dp show...adam sandler was saying his next movie blended...a comedy will have shaq and kobe. I cant recall the last time I seen kobe act outside of on Moesha about 14 years ago. It be interesting to see him in a comedy...

I'll say it again what does this have to do with Basketball?

I'm not co-signing anything.

You can't back up anything you say about Kobe BAsketball wise. Because that stuff is tangible.

So you resort to making up things and gossip. Anytime I ask you to back a story you made up you are unable to prove your statement.

Wheres your Kobe's quote where ge says he's playing his whole career to "one up" Jordan?

Wheres the proof the Kobe forces his parents to apologize?

Where's the quote where Kobe says he told the Hornets not to draft?

Are you going to give me those quotes or are you going to try to say Phil's quotes are Kobes quotes?

Not that Kobe has to, but what has he ever stood up for, other than himself?

How could the then so called best player in the league, not be a part of anything social or political?

I'm going to have to stop you right there. I am not a Kobe fan by any means but how man you speak about his social and political work? Do you know the crazy work that he puts into the China Fund that he set up? So we are judging his greatness or lack thereof because he wasn't pictured with a hoody or wear pink shoes for breast cancer awareness month?? His job as an athlete is to give his organization and fans the best performance he can for 48 mins. As a man all you can hope for is that he is a good husband and good father to his daughters. What he does with his time or money is no concern to any of us. Since you have a voice, what are you doing to better your community, and what social movements are you apart of?? Did we forget that when the lockout happened, Kobe was the first player to say that he would gladly give money to the younger players so they didn't have to worry about finances...

doc rivers signs a new 5 year contract, vows to help rebuild celtics, helps facilitate a trade to another team = no one cares. lebron leaves as a free agent to sign with another team = world goes crazy and lamekilla, etc are born

Nah dude. You're in denial and I see you like to duck the question. Who is the number 50 on your top 50 pg list and why is he better than Tony Parker? Career wise.

Lebron is a hypocrite period. You said it. He want to win so he left Cleavland. Win what? Win rings right?

You're telling me if Lebron have never left Cleavland and never won a ring his career would be the same as the Lebron with 2 rings? Come on dude. lol

Hypocrite. PERIOD.

Hmm An All-NBA/ Top 5 type player or Doc Rivers, which one is more irreplaceable?

There is a photo of LeBron and the Heat supporting Trayvon, didn't show up. It's fine though, The Greatest will suffice.

People have a right to dislike who they wish to dislike. However, it seems that you take issue with people who dislike Kobe Bryant, and then are vocal about it.

When Kobe is out of the league, and certain books about the league during his tenure are published, I am going to have a good time reading about his quirks and attitude issues.

Chris Childs told me that the reason he popped off on Kobe's grill, was because Kobe has a habit of throwing 'bows, then acting tough when he isn't.

There are many stories to be told, that is for sure.

Chris Child told you? lol. Seriously? He personally told you? haha

Man nat turner, xtapo, etc whoever you are just reveal yourself.

lol at Chris Child told you. lol

And Kobe is a great humanitarian. Just google his works. You will find plenty of stories about him.

Just because he didn't wear a hoodie or pink shoes that doesn't mean he didn't support Treyvon Martin or breast cancer awareness.

I think its Nat Turner, it kinda sounds like him :lol

Don't y'all have anything better to do than argue all day over the Internet about Kobe & LBJ? :lol

I'm saying though.

I said what I had to say earlier and kept it at that. No point going back and forth over and over on a topic that's been dragged to the ground countless times now.
