Plus I agee with some of you, the inside is outdated and definitely not worth $50Million. If I were a young millionaire like Lebron, I wouldnt be happy with a home with all that vintage decor.

Yea cause even the poor have large houses. My aunt has a massive house for 150,000 and its brand new. However, no state tax in MIA will do Lebron good.

so far having earned say 200M half goes to feds thats 100M (minus his lifestyle) spending 50M on a house isnt wise imo considering 60% of league goes broke 5 years after retirement. plus all that money stops in 10yrs (and $40M aint gonna be every year) and life span is 80 years so less splurging is all we saying.Originally Posted by Carlos Tevez

First of all, there's no way he spent $50 million on the home. Secondly, the guy is 25-years-old and has already earned well over $200 million. SI estimates he earns over $40 mill/year thanks to salary and endorsements. You think spending $30+ million on a home is that much money relatively speaking to him? Thirdly, he has committed himself to Miami for atleast 6-years and he may end up spending the rest of his career/life living in Miami. He probably wants a place that he can settle down in long term. Finally, buying a home is usually a wise investment. The value of this home should appreciate in the years to come and LeBron could end up making a nice profit.
People here are saying they'd never spend more than $2-3 million on a home?The guy is 25, has earned around $200m, makes over $40 mill a season, will have easily earned well over $500m by the end of his new contract, what the ++%$ do you want him to do with his money? Wire it to a Swiss bank account and jerk off to the money he's generating in interest? He's not gonna take that money to his grave...
