Legal Help: Which estimate to use?

There are some smart people on NT that can help me. 
We're going to court for a small claims sue. We have three estimates for the work needed ($1500, $1800, and $3500). 

The defendant wants to make a deal outside the court for the $1500 estimate. 

I always thought they should pay the "middle" estimate. 

If they don't pay, and we go to court, how likely is it that we'll get the $1800 fix. 

Probably isn't the correct place to post but I've been searching for a while with no answers.

It all depends on how strong your case is

I would say it's pretty strong.

His trucks have damaged our fence. Our fence is all crooked. We have pictures where the trucks are actually pushing our fence.

I would think they would go with the lowest estimate unless you can somehow make an argument that the estimate isn't enough to cover the damage.
