legit check on levi's (need help!)

hey guys, i just purchased this levi's engineered jeans...bought it really cheap. here are the descriptions:

1. no leather tag on the right rear portion.

2. made in japan

3. typical engineered jeans stitching

4. double stitching on the back pockets (khaki and dark blue)

5. has this red strip thing on the inner liner.

6. buttons and rivets all have the engineered jeans logo

7. it has a stitched engineered jeans logo on the left upper front portion (red stitch)

8. it says "J09 A" on the rear tag.

9. the ends on both legs was cut slanted.

10. both ends is double layered (so you can fold it out).

Guys, do you have any info on these pair? i checked the levi's website and also search engines but couldnt find in info on these.

i really would appreciate any help on these...is this fake? is this japanese denim? exact description on these?

I think you and I are in the same boat... I took a chance on a pair I saw on Ebay a few months back... Unsure of their authenticity as well... But, if theyare fakes... They are very good quality fakes... The tag on mine says Made in U.S.A.... The funny thing about it is the person who sold me mine from EBay was a Female from Iowa with the last name of'Kutcher'...

Isn't that clown Ashton Kutcher from Iowa?

I'm ashamed that I even know that information...

mine's made in Japan... i also checked the levi's japan site but i couldnt find it.

i also posted the legit check at hypebeast.com and styleforum.com.

they're really good looking jeans...good quality.

I remember a few years back there were Cinch-back engineered Levis available with the single pocket... But the ones I have do not have a cinched-back...

...even all the rivets have Levi stamped on them and everything... I've got nothing man... It's a mystery...

my 505's are made in Colombia. I got them from Macy's. I guess it varies.

the seller told me that they were factory defects co'z of the "JAPEN" error .i also saw a similar pair (different waist size,though) at thisthrift stores where i bought my jeans and they have a correct "made in japan" tag but it has a small tear on the left rear portion and it was afactory defect according to the paper tag.

...iv'e seen fake levi's and they are nothing compared to this one. the quality and detail is just superb. i wouldnt say they're fakes.

by the way, i got this reply from Styleforum.com :

"The reason you wont find anything about them on levis sites is because Levis Engineered jeans are not sold in N. America.

I have a pair myself, bought in Asia, and as far as I can tell they are legit. The engineered jeans often have a shine to them that resembles raw denim butthey are not raw. The legs are twisted, they have no patch, they have a lower yoke and some have cuffs that are diagonally cut. Some come with one back pocketand a waist adjustment strap.

Might not get much love around here but they are actually quite cool jeans. Check out pics on Rakuten.

Also, to my knowledge, the ones in Japan differ from the ones in Europe and the rest of Asia. Japan is always cooler."

- no patch
- shiny texture.

....so i wouldn't call it a fake.

'Gwap' coming through with some positive info... I still need to take a picture of the tag on mine...

Seems like mine have all of the characteristics listed above... but has MADE in the USA on the tag...
