Listing ebay "buy now" items

Does anyone know how to set up a listing that requires immediate payment in order to “buy now”?

Ive seen some ebay shops with this and I’m trying to set up the same.

Too many scam buyers on ebay these days wasting time “buying” items and fishing for sellers to ship out before payment it made. It takes over a week to cut these deadbeats and 90% of the time they don’t communicate – the main problem is the final value fees cus that gets charged once they hit buy now but youll be waiting 2 weeks to get it back once the non payment case is closed.

When I list, this is what I do:

Under "payments"

Select the box for: "Require immediate payment when buyer uses Buy It Now "

I hear you on this. eBay is a shadow of its former self with the high fees and poor overall user experience.

Under the payment option, click on "add options". Check the box that adds the immediate payment option and then save. Then check the box. It'll be under your Paypal info.

I think you need to be a power seller to activate that feature.

Whats the deal now with not being able to leave negative feedback? I mean the whole purpose of a feedback score is to rate people on the % but now it seems you cant leave negative need back anymore - Ive been leaving negative comments on deadbeats with a "positive" rating!
When I sopke to customer service recently about this they said this system was putting of "new" users - Im sorry but its also encouraging scammers but thats not gonna make ebay any money is it. Its funny how ebay protects the buyer and condemns the seller even tho they make the money from the sellers!

I dunno bout you guys but if i was making 10% on the sneakers when I worked in footlocker Id have been doing overtime in the stockroom just to get more floor time at the weekends - Ebay tho be dogging sellers and this is indirectly leading to the hike in sneaker prices of late. Weve all had that disappointment of making a $500 ebay sale only to find out after fees paypal exchange rates shipping etc etc there's like $50 in it!

eBay sucks. You can't leave a neg on deadbeats and it gives a ton of power to the buyer. You have plenty of buyers that will fire off that neg at any little thing without consulting the seller.
I hate seeing buyers' feedback left for others history where 80% of the feedback they leave is a neg. is there really that many bad sellers? C'mon

Negative feedback has been disabled for at least 4 years iirc. As bad as it seems, it probably still is the best selling platform even if it is only because of the number of potential buyers.

^ Yeah i use it for the marketability it has - ud be spending $$ on google adwords to get the same exposure on items for sale, still facebook is a good alternative - target specific seller pages and it can work with less fees involved.

I've had 1 negative feedback. The idiot ruined my perfect streak because I had sold the shoes locally and forgot to end the listing. Dude got an apology message and his money refunded in a matter of minutes. I raged so hard on his *** through messages.

i got a bs negative feedback. i assumed the buyer was a newbie who was clueless to how ebay worked. i tried to get him to cancel the negative and he acted like a jerk.

i realized he sold stuff and had perfect feedback. the messages he sent me after i sabotaged his perfect feedback and destroyed his good name on there was hilarious.

anyone who leaves me an UNWARRANTED negative feedback or wins an auction of mine and doesn't pay shouldn't sell items on ebay for their own best interests because i have no problem making sure i get the last laugh to teach them a lesson.

The inability to leave negative feedback pretty much opened the flood gates for buyers to flake on paying for auctions. I've been told some BS stories about why they can't pay, blah lah blah. I ignore it and report them as a non paying bidder, as opposed to canceling the auction. It's the only line of defense for sellers these days. I don't appreciate having my time wasted. That's why I mainly do the BIN w/ immediate payment for the most part.

That's why I don't do auctions and "Require immediate payment on my buy it now listings " and haven't had any problems since.
