Would love to see the end of the year lineup look like

Kobe/Hibbert/Metta/Huertas

Randle/DLo/Clarkson

Nance, Brown, Kelly, Black

And if Sacre has to be 12, fine, but I would love an Upshaw call up at some point.


All this gets young guys tons of PT, and keeps us safely in the driver seat for a top 3 pick, God and Silver willing.

The Pistons look decent, but their bench needs more help as Meeks is out the next three or four months with a broken foot. Lou was a good signing in a vacuum, but he does not fit within the context of the team. I like Meeks back in LA as a backup for Clarkson.


Nick Young for Vince Carter

The Grizzlies are looking shaky and still need a boost in scoring. Swaggy has been good so far, hitting 42% of his threes. Carter is washed up and has another (non-guaranteed) contract next season. Maybe he'd get bought out immediately.

The Mavericks could use another semi-reliable big behind Zaza, Dirk and Powell. Bass was another good value signing by Mitch, but I don't think it'll work out. Felton would be sitting on the pine or bought out after the trade.

I've put all my hopes in selling off parts at the trade deadline last 2 years, unfortunately we just don't do that. So I'll go ahead and say I expect nothing to happen.

top guys havent wanted to come to LA or Chicago. There's a lot to live up to. a lot of these guys really are soft af and really afraid of the lights. kobe was only a part of the problem, and I would go as far as to argue he was a small part of why free agents weren't coming.

Everything depends on the development of Russell, Randle and Clarkson going forward. Even then you still need a superstar talent to take that plunge and those just don't come available that often. KD next summer, Russ/Steph/Blake (ETO) in 2017 and Boogie in 2018. We have to get somebody in here of that caliber but the situation will dictate if they're in better situations cause the money will be as good anywhere. The Laker lore is no more it's about the product on the floor and no matter how great the city is, 3-4 consecutive losing seasons is not a good look.

Honestly I think we should push hard for Horford and Barnes type this next summer and pray Clarkson or Randle take a huge leap next season.

And honestly a new regime needs to come in that would probably help out as well.

Well most in here have acknowledged it's going to take D'Lo 2-3 years just to maybe get acclimated to the league. So I didn't include him. Clarkson and Randle seem much more adept to becoming near all star or all star caliber players quickly. If Russell can come along in that same time great but I'm not expecting it.
