This IS a better roster than last year. And they're significantly worse.

What in Byron's last 6 seasons of coaching shows he deserves another year.

Oh, i personally dont believe that...but i bet Jeannie does. And yes...while i think this yrs roster is better (on paper) than last yrs roster..the TANK was STRONG.
How does one fathom going 10 games or so to start the yr with R.Kelly/BB2 at 4/5 loggin heavy mins...DNPCDs for swag during offensive droughts...letting tarik ROT when we have ZERO energy down low and have the worst points in the paint allowed in the world....etc etc etc...true, these r firable offenses. But the more i thought about it.....

Say we're a legit championship contender. The Warriors are still reigning champs, but when people talk about championship possibilities, we are in the conversation. Literally everything about our team this year is different... except for Kobe. Still the same Kobe we see right now this year, still on a farewell tour.

Whether we were to win the championship this year or not, you guys OK with Kobe coming back next year? If we were a championship team and he were still on this farewell tour but we were actually really good?

I hope you guys are ready for 2016-2017 cuz the lakers not getting the pick this year = another year or tanking.

If we don't get the pick this year:
1. No good free agent will want to sign here
2. Byron will coach another year
3. Next years draft is 100x better than this one. We don't necessarily have to tank because we'll be bad regardless. What I mean is the 7th pick next year is as good or better than the 3rd pick this year. This year we had to tank cuz the pick is top 3 protected. The pick will be the Lakers pick next year regardless of position so you don't have to openly tank. Although it's hard to tell the difference between an open tank and a legit Byron Scott coached team.
