I'm not a Jim buss fan purely because I prefer owners who let basketball people run the show. I know jim has been groomed for this and tutored under Mitch/west 15 or so years ago, but he was also managing horse races around that time and other failed ventures

I wish he would act as a final sign off and trust basketball people to make decisions

DeMar ends up making an increased emphasis on Nic Batum for Defense on the perimeter.

But still need Whiteside. A lot of trouble clearing all the cap space for the 3 of them.

:rollin Just realized Kobe's 55 on the Wizards was with Michael having only 10 games left.

Kobe basically took Old Yeller out back, and put him down.

Wait we complain about players never wanting to come here and yet some in here are putting there noses up to a 26 yr old all star. My gawd :{
Oh I forgot we only signing superstars lol ...Bro! we have thee most money and the cap is raising year after year! Whats up with some being elitist fans in here :x
We got to build and I am sorry if DD is an option you go get him. Its not even about him but who he could help attract. Cuz if y'all think any of our rookies are attracting anyone in the next 3 years you guys
are sadly mistaken

And I see we still on the "everything good that happens it's because of Mitch; all bad things JIM!" :lol unbelievable
I don't know whats worse our FO or our fanbase

I just think Jim should just go back to doing what he does best - sit back and watch while Mitch makes all the decisions.

Mitch and Jim are a duo folks. When are you guys going to grasp this?

Mitch can't just pick up the phone and start lobbin offers. They work in tandem.

Please start comprehending this fellas. It's 20 ******* 16 already y'all still throwin out dumb *** quotes. :lol

Over a decade they been side by side. Good, and bad.

On a positive note, seein Houston disintegrate with Dwight there, gotta make everybody a lil happy.

I wonder what his market gonna look like this summer?

He still gon get 20M

I don't really mean market in terms of money, moreso teams willing to sign him.

Like will good teams take a chance on him, or will he be left choosing between Philly, Denver and the .....wait.....

He'd be perfect in Portland. 8o

Oh man.....I'm not gonna be able to sleep now. :lol :lol

My thoughts exactly. We're not in a position to pick and choose who we want lol. We're very low on talent and if a all star wants to come here, we get him. We allow him to help us lure others in.

Be real DeMar is only am all star cause the east is trash and devoid of quality guards. He comes here he's not sniffing the game in the west. He's just not that good. Why spend 20M on him when you can just resign Clarkson for 12-13?

Demar DeRozan is far the better player than Clarkson. Clarkson will never be able to attract a double team.

And besides, who is gonna attract free agents? Demar or Clarkson? Let's be real on that.

DeRozan may not be a great first option but he'd be a damn good 2nd option. We gotta start somewhere. Stop looking at the money aspect of things and bring in some talent on this team. Cap is jumping every season.

Ain't no stars coming here if there isn't a all star in place.

You haven't been watching the Raptors this or last postseason or anytime he has a long defender on him, he's been beyond buns. I think without Kobe's 17 shots a game Clarkson can up his PPG to around 19-21. They're percentage are already pretty similar, Demar is just averaging 4 more shots a game.

He'll be the first option here and that's the problem. He won't be an All star here either. I'd press for Whiteside/Horford/Batum/KD this summer and go hard after an actual superstar in Westbrook next summer.

Did Jim Buss attend any games this year?

I literally haven't seen him since 2014
Come on now, if you know anything about Jim it's he avoids the spotlight.

I would say the Mavs. Maybe him changing agents recently rules them out though.

I'm actually starting to get excited, some quality players available and Kobe being gone helps in terms of attracting FAs

KD
Derozan
Barnes
Batum
Whiteside
Horford
Noah
Ezeli
Pau
Butler via trade
Boogie via trade

Lots of possibilities with 60 milli in cap space

Even better if we gain another asset via a top 3 pick

Exciting times y'all

:lol I see where your head is at, but he wouldn't come back here unless it was a 1 day contract to retire.

Just so we're clear, we do NOT want a 26 year old All Star SG that just put up 23.5/4/4/1 on 45/34/85 with a PER of 21.5, right?

We don't want to add that type of production, do we?

Let's ask Raptor fans if they want his "production."

You follow all the same loyal rational fans I do on Twitter, and you know damn well everyone of them does not want the Raptors to resign him.

They're not irrational people who are saying such things. He's a high volume shooter with a lot of possessions and attempts.
