wouldn't mind having metta there for ingram to pick his mind.

ingram having both deng and metta as his mentors? i'm in.

I like T Rob
He will make the team imo

My roster projection:

Dlo, Jose, Huertas
Clarkson, Lou
Deng, Ingram, Anthony Brown
Randle, Nance, Robinson
Moz, Yi, Tarik, Zubac

I think MWP is getting a training camp invite and will stay on with a player development type role

T-Rob is cool for the end of the bench.

He's probably equal to Tarik, better than Auguste.

Russell / Clarkson / Deng / Randle / Mozgov
Jose / Lou Will / Ingram / Nance / Yi

That covers all the minutes of 1-4.

Hard to see where there is any minutes for TRob, Black, A. Brown, MWP, Huertas, Zubac to even sniff the court.

They are really high on the Sixers it looks

Assuming Simmons plays the 4. IMO he kind of has to for a good chunk of his minutes at this point of his career.

PG: Sergio Rodriguez / Jerryd Bayless / TJ McConnell
SG: Gerald Henderson / Nik Stauskas / Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot
SF: Hollis Thompson / Robert Covington / Jerami Grant
PF: Ben Simmons / Nerlens Noel / Dario Saric
C: Jahlil Okafor / Joel Embiid

Looks good at the 4 & 5. But 1 - 3 may be the saddest collection of players in a long time.

“I feel like if I came into the league this year, in this environment, it wouldn’t have been as tough,” “Even if Kobe was here, it still wouldn’t have been as tough. …

“Everything I went through was new, and there was no guidance from the people that were supposed to give me the guidance,”

This and some other stuff he mentions has me kind of :rolleyes

Rookie Kobe and Rookie D'angelo are night and day. Gonna have to accept that and not expect to see a superstar grow out of his pot

So you can only be a superstar if you act like Kobe?

He seems softserved and sensitive.

"Must handle with care". I'm drawing contrast, not implying only a Kobe type can succeed.

Yea it'd be great if a guy like him could somehow evolve into a Magic, AI, Kobe, Bird or MJ . . I'm just not holding him to that standard based on his character

Right, but you can probably say that about all of the current superstars. Westbrook is probably the only one with that mentality.

He said exactly what all of us were saying last year, Byron sucked and Kobe turned the season into a circus. Wasn't even making excuses, he was just asked to compare the coaching staffs.

he aint lying though. a judgement of character might cloud thinking someone might reach a certain level. whether its right or wrong remains to be seen. similar ex: dwight. he had the abilities when he came out to be one of the greats and slowly his character came out and doubt started if he could reach his expected level. i get what he is saying.

Pretty sure Dwight having back surgery had more to do with his decline than his character. Call it a hunch.

Nothing about D'Angelo's work ethic suggests he can't be great, his personality be damned.

I think he's a great talent, and hopefully he continues to work hard especially since he's so early in his career. I agreed with him on Byron.

Not sure what's so wrong about not expecting him to fanatically chase championships or revolutionize the way the game is played like the dudes I mentioned.

The fact that it's been so difficult to entice this generation to a storied franchise like ours, even with the tribulations we're dealing with management wise, says a lot about future of the league

lets visit bizarro nba world where dwight stays 100% healthy and still plays for every team he has played for every year. youre telling me his bish made character wouldnt make you question if he can reach the status of one of th greatest centers to play the game? youre telling me healthy dwight doesnt get his feelings hurt in orlando, los angeles and houston?

I think expecting someone to revolutionize the game trivializes what it really means to actually do that. Not all great players are obsessives the way Kobe is, in fact you could probably count on one hand the obsessive greats there have been in the NBA.

And yeah, I think that expecting someone to be that is asking a lot.

Misread what was written. :lol

Healthy Dwight changes our 2013 season 100%.

I think it's fair to say Dwight hasn't been the same since the first back injury.

And im no athlete, but have had back surgery, and it's a ***** to come back from.

Don't blame hom. But do blame him for being am emotional child.

I'm waiting for some of you to arrive to where I did and realize Dwight did the right thing for himself leaving the Lakers.
