If he is going to question the behaviour, then it should be within a certain context. Let's say Black women from a certain socio economic condition, versus ALL Black women. I don't see Oprah complaining about this, nor do I see Serena speaking on it either. None of the Black women I admire, those in public life, those who have their own, complain about the the choices that some Black men make in relationships, nor exhibiting the stereotypical behaviour that Anton is bashing.

The neck working, eye rolling, unintelligent behaviour, is simply a stereotype that ALL women can fall victim to, if they still believe that the "world is flat".

Anton does not present his case very well, and that is the problem.

Explain what you are trying to say here. You lost me.

Of course Oprah wouldn't complain about it because that is a large part of her demographic. Why would she "diss" them. That wouldn't be smart for her.

Serena isn't going to speak on it because she falls into that category. She is widely known as a loose cannon, sore loser, with an attitude. Why would she speak on it?

Oprah speaks on whatever her concerns are, then she'll give you a car. She had no issue with talking about Chris Brown and Rihanna.
Serena dates who she wants to date, whether that is a White film producer Black football player, or Hip Hop Artist. She does not complain about who Black men are dating, then does not exhibit the stereotypical behaviour in public, that you claim she does. As an athlete, she has a right to be competitive wanting to win, just as the Russian women do, while featuring their stereotypical dismissive attitudes.

If you think that she exhibits the sterotypical behaviour of a black diva, then you must love Kobe Bryant.

I said Serena is widely known as a loose cannon, sore loser, with an attitude. In turn folks will attribute that to her being stereotypical. I can view it as her being competitive, but what does that matter when the majority of the media promotes it as her being an angry black woman?

Again, Oprah does NOT speak on topics the way she WOULD if her #1 demographic were women. When she spoke on CB/Rhianna, notice how she took Rhianna's side. As everyone else did, so speaking on it doesn't matter. She will never speak on a topic that will infuriate her women audience. It is just smart entertainment, I don't blame her for saying what her audience wants to hear.

And yes, Kobe is my dude.

Can't say that we didn't try.

I honestly reached out to dude from the bottom of my heart...Never again.

He only sees racism coming from "Blacks" on NT and I would guess in the outside world as well...

*shrugs*

Just take note family, NT is a microcosm of the world at large.

imo, this was probably one of the best arguments in NT "intellectual" history...
I read every post, on every page... and i enjoyed both sides of the arguments.
the fact that this thread hasn't been locked due to personal shots between members amazes me. there were no real shots fired.

but yeah, Anton... you're on some other type of @%%! my good sir.

1. What it proves is that the media will promote stereotypes contributing to racist views, as does Anton.
2. I agree that Oprah is smart, and that is why I admire her. It is how she tempers her topics with concern, that is what allows her to get over.
3. Then if you like Kobe Bryant, then you'll understand why it is dangerous to apply the stereotype of *femme black and angry*, to women only. His attitude is on par with the most ghetto project queen in any inner city, across the United States.

Note, I did not say, "Black".

It's funny because Antony perpetuates a lot of these "black" stereotypes he supposedly transcends with his individuality
laugh.gif

People call you an Uncle Tom and say you're racist because we're only going off of what we see on NT.

When you constantly derail discussions with your counterproductive arguments and get backlash we're not pigeonholing you to believe a certain idea. Stop victimizing yourself and saying people are coming at you when there are plenty of members who try arguing and reasoning with you.

It doesn't, I was being sarcastic. I'm a really easy going person and I can't deal with loud, rambunctious women a bheavior many black women have confused with being strong. Peace of mind>>>>>smashing.

This is all I had to read from you. You're pathetic. Starting these internet arguments to build up your "E-rep". Don't act like this isn't what this is about because you started this thread during the Serena thread when you said she looks like a man. I personally would give her my express D delivery, but I understand if you don't find her type attractive. But I saw this thread coming from a mile away, you thought to yourself "I"m going to make a thread so I can argue with these same people.......Hope this stays on the first page for a couple of days"

You are what's wrong with NT these days, I'm still on here because there are some cool cats on this board but douche bags like you start these pointless arguments that come up twice a week. By reading your posts I don't even care about that you think about black women, because you continue to generalize them all as loud and obnoxious for the longest time now it doesn't even bother me anymore because that's just how you are.

You're just a lil kid to me man. The funny thing is, you're probably older than me. Lil man.....Lets  just move on.

I like how son thinks he's so misunderstood when he's clearly see-through, that's why i don't even engage in arguments.

What you need to realize B is that Anton is an internet punk. What he does is starts threads like this not to contribute to the unity of the board, he does it for the potential flames and page count. The funny thing is, I've made this same very claim and he has yet to argue that, but if i finish this post with "Stop generalizing black women" he will quickly respond. Everyone has their preference of women, Anton doesn't like loud and abraisive women, that makes perfect sense, but to say many black women have attitiude problems is going way over the top. How come only a few of the black women in my area, my friends, family, classmates, co workers and whom ever I interact with have this problem. Sure I've seen it in SOME but not MANY. Stop trying to bash as many black women as you can by saying many of them have issues, that isn't fair to the vast majority that don't.

"Team Race Card" You reek of fail brah.

I guarantee you anybody else creates this thread, and it doesn't get the same reception. Black NTers create threads like this all the time.

I love black women, but I don't have to like all of them. Why is that such a hard concept to grasp?

I guarantee you if I created a "I don't like being called African American thread" it would be the same result as this. Hypocrites.
