Lol Some Little Girl At Wal-Mart just asked my mother "Why are You Black?"

The parents and everybody around faces

My mom just say's "I was born this way"

The parents of course say one thousand sorry's

I'm just still in aw at a kid not knowing about black people especially during black history month. This girl and her family weren't a rednecks either they actually looked like a pretty well off. Either way it was a really awkward/funny/disappointing situation to witness.

my mom is white by the way
kids say the darndest things

What did you expect?

Kids at that age start asking questions and are aware of their surroundings and people. She wasn't being hateful or ignorant, she's four years old.

Dude, do you really expect a 4 year old girl to be fully educated on the subject of black history month?

I expect her to at least know that people are born black

Funny, I doubt most people would be able to answer that question.

this is why I hate when ppl don't address issues like sex, religion, race, and politics with youngsters.
