Looking for a laptop cooling pad

So i have had my laptop for about a 1 year and a half now. It still works okay except for the fact that it gets too hot and will just shut down on me all thetime

. So my brother told me to get a cooling pad but thereare so many different kinds out there that im not sure what to get

. I don't want to spend any more than $35. Any suggestions NT?
 
Man, the EXACT same thing is happening to my laptop. Thing overheats so quickly and just randomly shuts down too. But to answer your question, sorry Idon't know where to get any cooling pads

Well what i do is put a book under my laptop. I use my old yearbook, it doesn't generate heat so it basically keeps it cool and i can keep it on my lapwithout it burning, plus its free

Not sure if it's the battery. In my case, I have an HP dv2000 and the computer itself gets really hot. Trust me, it's not the battery. Itried that already.

I already have a cooling fan, but it's sort of bulky to be lugging around where I bring my laptop. I'm just looking for one less bulky. Below is apicture of the one I'm using now. It's an Antec.
