Lost Iphone 4 need help!

I just lost my iphone 4 within the last hour, I'm pretty sure I left it in a cab.  
It has to be either in the taxi cab I took to my apt or dropped on the street which I doubt.  The cab driver seemed mad nice so I think he'd return it if he noticed.  But I'm worried someone else will find it and take it.  I dont know the cab number or anthing.  

I have the (mobile me) thing and it says no location found and when I try to send a message to the phone it says message pending.

What are my options? Thanks

Anyways, OP, what about that app that lets you track your phone? I'm a n00b at this, so this my suggestion. Also, if you think the cab driver will return it, did you not have to dial a phone to get a cab or did you just get one on the spot. Don't flame me, cabs don't be strolling through the city like that unless you're around BART.

This is in nyc it was a yellow cab.  My only hope is him returning it.  I've already accepted the fact I mostly likely just have to take the L.

i doubt the cab driver looks in the back seat after you leave. if anything someone else found it in the back seat and took it. and they probably turned the phone off and looked for mobile me and deleted it?
