I've recently realized just how much I lie to other people. Sometimes I have absolutely no reason to lie, yet it still comes out. Someone asked me tocome to a frat meeting last week and I said "I'll definitely be there"... needless to say I didn't go, nor did I ever intend to.
I find that it's just easier to tell people what they want to hear. Especially with the ladies. That's where I get most of my lying done. Telling themcrap like "I can honestly see myself with you for the rest of my life", or "I feel like I've known you all my life", or "Igenuinely believe that we're supposed to be together". And they eat it up.
I'm trying to make a conscientious decision to stop, but it just seems like the world would rather hear what sounds nice, rather than what it really is.
What do you guys think?
