I've recently realized just how much I lie to other people. Sometimes I have absolutely no reason to lie, yet it still comes out. Someone asked me tocome to a frat meeting last week and I said "I'll definitely be there"... needless to say I didn't go, nor did I ever intend to.

I find that it's just easier to tell people what they want to hear. Especially with the ladies. That's where I get most of my lying done. Telling themcrap like "I can honestly see myself with you for the rest of my life", or "I feel like I've known you all my life", or "Igenuinely believe that we're supposed to be together". And they eat it up.

I'm trying to make a conscientious decision to stop, but it just seems like the world would rather hear what sounds nice, rather than what it really is.

What do you guys think?

I've actually been slipping oon these kinds of threads

But, like, really?

I rarely ever tell anyone the complete truth. The only person I've ever been completely honest to is my little brother, who is 8.

Other than that, I lie to everyone. On a daily basis. For no reason too.

"What's your favourite fruit?"
"Blueberries."
I hate blueberries.

Edit: I guess I could pass some judgement on the matter.

I'm not really for lying, but I find myself doing it way too often. I'm a chronic liar, I guess.

You're just being polite.

Especially with the ladies. That's where I get most of my lying done. Telling them crap like "I can honestly see myself with you for the rest of my life", or "I feel like I've known you all my life", or "I genuinely believe that we're supposed to be together". And they eat it up.

You're just being a guy.

Lying is lying; everyone does it. Not to be malicious, but because it may make things "easier". For example, if you said no to the frat meeting, anannoying conversation might've followed.

The only lying I hate is compulsive lying...however, there IS a positive; catching someone in a lie is gold.

i used to think about this all the time

i tried to stop but eventually just said @@#+ it.

I think I'm too honest most of the time. People call me an !#++##% because I don't tell them what they want to hear and do my best to keep it real atall times... oh well

lying is a necessary part of life and in certain situations, needs to be done.

Without a doubt, it's definitely wrong and in most cases uncalled for, but when a guys on a mission, things get said.

I've kinda toned it down with those kind of lies since I've been off at college... heck, I even admitted to NT that I haven't smashed and of the3 4 girls who've slept in bed since the semester started. Like I said in that last thread, I'm looking for wifey, and lying to any andevery female just to get in isn't going to help me while I'm trying to find her.

Depends on the situation.....generally no, but when there's a situation where I really, really have to then I will.

I mean... you can't run game without giving someone false hope, tho?

In her mind shorty might be thinking 'Ohh I just met this great guy and he's so sweet'...all the while you know you're playing her.

What if you were really feeling a female and she seemed to be telling you all the right things. You wanna believe she has good intentions so you let her rock, maybe invest some time into developing ya'lls relationship...only to find out it was all a fallacy

I ain't even tryna be all preachy or nothin' but this +!$* hurts

I've actually tried not to do it, but I do it so much, it's become a habit. At first, I'd feel bad, but then after awhile, I'll just simply getover it.

What are you even talking about? Go to sleep.

sometimes lying is easier than just telling the truth.........little white lies at least

I dont lie.
I keeps it reaaaal.

And if a dude told me the crap you posted, I would laugh in his face.

I respect people more when they are straight up and honest. Lying is just an easy cop out IMO

Feel like I lie to females (relationship) a lot.... Well maybe not lie, but if theyask me something I just don't say what will upset them... Is that the same as lying...
