Everytime I see a nice pic on the web I save it and try to make it m wallpaper but it doesn't look as clean. I see some of u guys wallpapers and they belooking clean .how do u do it?? I got a mac book pro if that helps

The resolution is basically like the dimension of a picture. Like proper said - 2560*1600 would be a really high resolution picture that would look good onyour background. Often, you can do a 1260*980 and it would still look good.
You might be trying to see a pic that is like 360*360 which would really be blurry and distort the picture. You can change the way the pic is set on yourbackground by using "Options" when you change your background.

Good looking proper English ...butt what if don't want one of those pics is there a way to take any pic and make it good enough for mac

go to deviantart.com for more wallpapers.. also, check your screen res, 2560x1600 is what i have, guessing yours may be different.
