Wassup NT I have 2011 MacBook Pro I split just a lil bit of water on it while it was close and now it doesn't work it's been about a month since this happened and now all it does is boot up with the Mac sound keyboard lights up and works but I'm not getting a picture on the screen.. I took it to best buy to geek squad but they told me since I didn't buy the Mac from them they won't fix it! Which is hard to understand...

So I have a buyer wanting to buy it for 400 but I wasn't able to delete anything off of it.. If he is able to fix it how much you think it will cost him and would he be able to access my hard drive? Even tho I have a username and password login?

Thanks for the help guys

Where do you live? Take it to an Apple Store.

I don't trust best buy for **** with my computers. I'd rather attempt to fix it myself than take it to a best buy.

same thing happened to me. took it to apple and they said it'd be like $775. I just bought a new one instead.

ended up selling it on Craigslist for $200 I think the guys just fix them up and flip them. I also didn't have anything on my hard drive that I didn't want other people to see though.

my friend spilled beer on my MacBook...

twice! :{

still going strong though.

$400 is a good deal, if hes willing to buy it he knows how to fix it obviously.

the machine still work...seems like when you closed the lid the water probably spilled into the back panel screen where the apple logo is. It ain't completely broke. try plugging the mac to an external monitor with the right adapters.
