someone i know is selling mackbook pros for $550 and i want one but they only have the windows OS on them does anyone know how i could put the mac OS back onto one of them?

No way this is possible! The new MacBook pros are like 1200 minimum, and employee discount at best would be 25% which would put it at $ 950. So your hookup is getting it for around 50% + off which is ridiculous

Seems like a good deal. Just pop in an OS X cd and you'll be good. When you go into disk utility, just delete the windows partition.
