[just my thoughts, right or wrong...]

But...like.. who's forcing ya'll to stay there? When the storm hit, I heard countless tales of people that chose not to haul %%+ up outta there. Good ole Red blooded American types

.. I'm not talking about poor people that were stuck anyway. I'm talking about the hard assess that thought they were just gonna ride out this category 5 joint. And I'm like, dude.. you live in a fish bowl with the water on the outside trying it's damndest to get in. And you rely on this fishbowl's protruding lip to keep water from over taking the edges and filling the bowl up with water? Right. I mean, that's just how I've always viewed living below sea level. And so when disaster INEVITABLY struck (and yeah, I do think a large part of the tragedy was bad government handling), cats are acting like the situation wasn't ALL BAD from jump. I mean, like I said, I'm as ignorant as they come on this subject. I'm just going on the appearance of things. I'm not tryna offend you or anyone else, and I don't intend for my post to apply to ALL the victims of Katrina. But there are some people I just don't feel sympathy for. If the weather man told ME at noon Lake Michigan was about to start CLOWNING and I should head south to Nap, best believe by noon-thirty Young Rilla finna be on I-65. You don't mess with nature man..

[/...just how I was feeling at the time. Walk with a !*!%# man.. just ride

It's not easy for people to get up and leave their current lives and go to a completely new city with a vastly different culture, especially if they're not well off financially.
I mean yet, but still..  Gary is my HOME. It's all I've ever know for 22 years. I ain't got +%$% else outside the G but the car I'd drive to get there. And I'm saying straight up, if I can't leave with +%$% else but my rhyme book and condoms, I'm DIPPING. I do NOT mess with the forces of nature kid.

all of this really is bringing more attention and money to New Orleans, though

While in reality, only these upper class white ppl can afford to even be at these events, while the rest of N.O (80%+) sits in the slums waiting for this so called rehabilitation to start, with infrastructure looking like a modern day Afghanistan... Makes me sick. Thats dope of you Brad that built a couple houses but the rest of us are still sitting in the dark cause this piece of !%*@ government would rather build homes and roads in Iraq, what you expect tho this is America we know where the "elected officials" priorities lie

He "built a couple houses" to help people and you complain about it. What did you do to help...?

Only upper class white people can go watch a football game now? Last game i went to cost me 25 bucks.

And how exactly did you order that NikeTalk t-shirt to go clubbing while "sitting in the dark"? Didn't know "the dark" had hi-speed internet these days. Makes sense tho. If you would wait 5 damn months for a t-shirt i guess that is the same mindset that would wait years for the government to bail you out after a flood.

I haven't gotten the shirts your boy sent them to the wrong address, I don't even live in N.O anymore moved back to Canada where they somewhat take care of their people.

Im not saying what Brad did wasn't dope, but in reality they are just showing that to hide what little the government is doing. How you gonna live in one of those new cribs when you dirt poor and your people are living beside in you broken down shacks.
