For those who have been following the situation, the game was rated for 360 and PS3 by the ESRB in October last year, but was taken down after thespeculation began.

There have been 2 more findings recently that's leading many to believe that the game's expected to be released around July. One being a rumor statingthat a MVC Tournament Edition Stick, manufactured by MadCatz is in the works and the other - and more convincing evidence - reveals an actual XBox Liveacheivement list.

For more, check below:

Xbox360Achievements has just given us a bit more reason to believe that an HD Remix of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is on the way -- or at least some kind of XBLA version. It's not hard to guess what kind of evidence would be found at that particular site: achievements!

The site has a list of twelve achievements for the frantic crossover fighter, worth 200 points total...

Sexy Adam Dork just dropped a minor, but exciting matlock-style tip in our sweet, Mr. Destructoid shaped tips box. Apparently, a product called the "Marvel vs Capcom Tournament Edition Arcade Stick" is to be made available for purchase to British people starting on July 10, 2009, for both the PS3 and the 360.
The bad news is, this isn't a Marvel Vs Cacpom 3 stick. The good news is that Marvel Vs Capcom 2 must be making it's long rumored return to home consoles sometime before the stick's release date. I know, I know, it's not called the "Marvel vs Capcom 2 Tournament Edition Arcade Stick," but the thing's description says it's going to be covered with Marvel Vs Capcom 2 artwork.

I for one feel the writing's on the wall so to speak, so for those like me, who've been holding on to their dreamcasts just for the game, you mayfinally be able to retire it

If it's on XBLA it'll probably cost about 800 gamer points... The equivalent of like $10

The most expensive part of the whole thing is buying an arcade stick (that is, if you haven't already got one for Soul Caliber, SF4, HDRemix, etc)... Nowthat can get up to $80-$100ish.

I personally can't play this game without a stick, so I'll be taking the plunge.

'Take you for a ride...'

This site just recently went live this morning and speculation is that it's the teaser site for Capcom's highly rumored Marvel vs. Capcom 2 HD remake. Now you may be wondering, how could this site relate to the game? Well first off the giant number "2″ on the site definetly looks like the one from the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 logo, also the countdown on the websites is at 6 days right now and Capcom is holding their annual Captivate game expo next week so it seems very likely that an announcement will be made at that time. The last clue is the name of the site, which is tu4ar.com. This could of mean "Take You For A Ride," which I'm sure most of you know was the song that was played in the game when you were selecting characters.

While loading, the website transfers data from another domain - http://dev02.capcomusa.net/. The base url just loads a Fedora test page, but some snooping on that domain yields another url - http://dev02.capcomusa.net/mvc2gmt/. If nothing else, this new URL certainly indicates the game in question is MvC2, with the timer being based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

A bit more snooping reveals even more promising information. The domain, www.tu4ar.com, is registered to one Kathleen Alley who lives in Redwood City, California. Capcom USA is located in San Mateo, CA - a mere 10 to 15 miles away from Redwood City. Alley could very well be an employee of Capcom

I apologize for any miscommunications, but I did mark the thread as "*(All But)* Confirmed" with asterisks around "All But," meaning theevidence supplied in the thread would provide *almost firm* confirmation that the game will be released sometime in July.

If any others feel mislead, I'll change the thread title... for 8 days

I still play it sometimes for dreamcast. I have MvC1 &2. and Cap vs. Snk 1 & 2. I could of sworn there was a MvsCapcom3. I remember playing somethinglike it in the arcade like 3 years ago. it looked like a cooler version of marvel vs cap 2 but with like three life bars on the bottom of the screen. i'vebeen looking for the game but can't seem to find it. I remember using cable and he was a beast.

this is possibly going to be the greatest game to come onto the XBOX Live Arcade...unless Goldeneye comes out before or after...that would be the best...
