Mass Shooting Thread: Waiting on the next one.

What makes me chuckle to keep from crying is the fact that Americans actually want gun legislation, and yet congress refuses to act, nobody has ever stated that making it harder to obtain guns will eliminate crime, yet the right continues to push this narrative anytime someone is killed with a knife or in a fist fight.

I do have hope though, I never thought we would see sentiment shift away from Isreal as it has in the last several years, to the point where endorsed candidates are starting to ask common sense questions.

This leads me to hope for a brighter future where politicians can't just say hopes and prayers, I kinda threw in the towel after Sandy Hook, if a room full of elementary school kids wouldn't do it, what would?

I’m currently back in one of the most “unsafe” and most hated on cities in all of Europe, a city that has a huge mafia presence…

And the murder/gun violence rates are STILL microscopic compared to any populated places in the U.S.

It so refreshing to not have to worry about people pulling out guns for minor inconveniences or conflicts. People out here are loud and vocal, and they just yell at each other to get out of the way for the most part before keeping it moving.

In the same scenarios back home, whenever we hear any disagreements outside, my wife and I leave ASAP as fast as we can. Who knows when someone’s going to pull a gun out and hit people with crossfire?

It’s really sad that whenever we travel, our number one topic is the feeling of not being shot or murdered for no reason. We always see @&$@ happening throughout cities and talk about “Wow if that happened back home, someone’s getting shot” “This place is grimy but at least no one’s going to kill you for no reason” “That dude might’ve been rude to you because he doesn’t like foreigners, but at least he didn’t pull out a gun”

It’s not that bad @&$@ doesn’t happen everywhere, but just the frequency and chances of gun violence and mass shootings are so low in comparable countries…it’s just really embarrassing and tiring.

I’m sure it has been alluded to, but l think a red lights district would drastically reduce the mass shootings.

It’s becoming more difficult for the average man to get intimacy. Some of these men lash out violently.

It’s so crazy how this country can act too moral for sex work, but also watch millions die of hunger on the street. How moral is that?
