Me and my sis were talking about getting new ink and we thought about getting matching ones.

Just wanted to know, would it be too much?

My idea was a good quote and i get the first half and she gets the second half.

This is the one we came up with.

On me it was gonna say

" Together forever, never apart "

and on her it was gonna say

" Maybe in distance but never in heart "

She's leaving for the marines in case your wondering about the distance part.

I almost had an automatic no reaction. I thought you meant just with a chick.
With your sister I would say yay.

But yeah thats a good idea with your sis. Placement is what matters now.

sister =/= lady friend

much more tasteful imo, kinda cool actually

She wanted her part on her ribs.

I'm going to use this as an example i found on google, but something like this,

He has one half of the quote and she has the other

The placement is going to be different though.

Tat sounds corny no matter who you get it with, but if it's meaningful to you get it

id say yea, if thats not the only tattoo you plan to get.
like if it blends with a sleeve.

I think most times someone is always left with something they aways have to explain.

Her tat will be fairly ambiguos when on her own but yours will still make sense and people will probably get it. Hard to explain.

That pic you posted is an exception since both of their tats can just stand alone and make sense.

Do you though, I'm not a tat guy but I wouldnt be mad at ya since its your sis.

Edit: And if you do go through with that one, make sure you change hers to "maybe in distance but never at heart"

Go for it. My best friend got matching tattoos with her sister and brother. It's subtle and tasteful. You wouldn't even know they had them unless they showed you.

It's a sweet gesture. Especially considering she is going to the Marines. I say do it.

My girl and I are getting small anchors on our ankles, very subtle and just a symbolic reflection of what we already have.

why didn't our boy hotshots think of this.

I think it would be a dope move....BUT it may bring up drama with any girls you meet in the future...it'll probably be a good indicator of girls you need to ditch if they get upset over it and ask you why you can't have their name on you.

Gotta think of the long-term. Personally I think if you get something tasteful and doesn't give of a incestual creepy vibe then go for it.

As long as it's small enough that no one can possibly see it, then do it.
