Well, I don't go there too often but I have heard on 4/20, cops are very lenient with that rule throughout Central Park. Also, I've gone toStrawberry Fields on the memorial of John Lennon's birthday and A LOT of people there were blazing with no troubles.

You may have a better chance of gettin' it crackin in prospect park...i know of someone who has...
