I'm pretty sure Cory Booker was a Rhodes Scholar and all Pac-10 tight end at Stanford. I think he has bigger ambitions than just Mayor of Newark, which heis apparently doing well at.

As a state, crime is a non issue. The hoods are very, very bad, but outside of that NJ is quite a safe place.
All I can do is laugh at your education system quote. NJ has one of the best school systems in America. We retain one of the most educated populations in thenation. One of the highest percentages of individuals holding an undergraduate and/or graduate degree.

You gotta love NJ though, people bash it just to run with the trend, you have beaches and atlantic city just a bit south, plus Phili, you got NYC a walkingdistance away, upstate NY couple of hours along with boston, its everything rolled in one, its right in the center of a bunch load of states that offerdifferent things, hell, canada aint even that far from jersey. lots of variety
