Why would he when he's the A Side, Conor walked in the ring because it was the only way he could make more money than all his other fights combined thus far and who knows how many years if ever he was going to make that in the Octagon

Why does the truth bother you so much, tho?

At the end of the day, Conor deserves credit just for stepping into the ring, because we all know for damn sure Floyd ain't walking into a damn octagon.

Conor was set for life before this fight, he walked in there because he thought he could win, it wasn't just about the payday.

Also, the whole A side thing is hilarious to me because the fan support for the 2 fighters was extremely lopsided.

Was that aimed at me?

Of course it was.

Water is wet and Conor would destroy Floyd in a cage.

Not really a statement to get upset about.

No one's upset though.

Mayweather said he'd fight McGregor in MMA to get a rise out of people (which it obviously did).

Like I said, people have been all over social media antagonizing others with the same old "...but why don't they do it in the octagon" narrative. It was completely irrelevant then and completely irrelevant now as it pertains to this event.

Conor didn't think he could win, he just sold the public at the press conferences that he thought he could for the big payday, thats what he's great at is selling fights to the public. It's a fact that Floyd was the A Side without question, he's the 1 that already has set all the ppv records etc., also why his purse was $100 mil vs Conors $30 mil. When you mention Fan support its because Floyd plays heel, 1 of the greatest at playing heel ever and the only reason he's at over $1 billion in career earnings. I've watched Floyd since his pro debut back in the 90s when he was fighting at 130 lb weight class and he struggled to make a $500k purse when the only little guy making millions on a purse was Prince Naseem Hamed and Floyd was desperately trying to get a fight with him. It wasn't until Floyd turned heel that the 8 figure paydays started coming in and eventually leading into the 9 figure paydays and record breaking ppv buys. Conor did this for the payday and to increase his exposure and anyone that thinks otherwise is foolish

Also I doubt McGregor is set for life financially considering his lifestyle. Dude stays bragging about money and IG stunting. Usually those dudes don't handle wealth very well. The payday was probably 90% of his decision to make this fight.

People that believe all the things said at press conferences must be new to watching combat sports to not realizing its all about selling the fight

Yeah. Conor told us he would knock Floyd out in 4rds and Floyd ate his biggest punch. People lie.

Yes, because the world wants to see a mechanic fight Floyd.

Amazing comparison, man.

Put simply, Conor doesn't get kudos for stepping in the ring because with that payday anybody would.

But keep pattin' him on his head callin' him a "good boy" for trying to do something he is practically trained to do

Conor did a great job selling himself. Conor fans did a great job buying his woof tickets. It's still amazing to me that people actually had confidence in him fighting Floyd. Amazing and mind bottling.

Floyd needed Conor in order to get the payday, they needed each other.

Not sure why this is going over your head.

Nobody is paying to see a nobody box Floyd.

Naaaaah. Didn't Conor himself say he was quadrupling his career earnings in one fight?

He had everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Yaaaaaah.

Between sponsorships and movie/tv money, dude could've retired the night he demolished Eddie and he'd be fine.

I'm not sure why you are giving "credit to conor for stepping in the ring" when he's a fighter.

Also not sure what you just said has to do with the aforementioned statement that we were actually discussing.

Yes. Because that's what rich people do. Retire off a couple of big checks and stop chasing paydays.

Surprised Lebron is still playing ball then.

Smarten up.

Jon Jones is a fighter, why does he refuse to fight anybody on short notice?

Conor absolutely deserves credit for stepping into the ring, regardless if some people on a forum want to give it to him.

And when the Conor movie come out?

We gonna compare LeBron to someone in combat sports? LOL.

Conor actually has a movie coming out, so, not sure if you're being sarcastic or not.

You're actually gonna sit there and act like someone like Conor can't get checks in Hollywood?

Alrighty then.

Look what the Rock has been able to do.

Son went from wrestling to the top of the damn actors earnings list and he can't act for ****, :lol

Conor absolutely does not deserve credit for stepping in the ring, no matter what some dude on a forum says.

That settles it.
