"memory triggers" anyone

idk what to call it/what to name the thread..

but, have you ever heard a noise or done something that trigger you remembering a memory from your past you forgot about? not necessarily a bad memory, just a random one you forgot about/havent thought about in a while.. Its usually noises/songs that do it for me..

anyone know what imean ?

to vividly recall details of the house I grew up in. that I wasn't able to previously.

Its called "Nostalgia" fam

and if it's a good memory that makes me laugh its 

or makes me think about how much time really has passed. puts things in retrospective sometimes

yeah this just happened to me i smelled cinnamon today and recalled some obscure memory that i had when i was like 7 where my neighbors mom made us bread with cinnamon and butter and sugar

i have the weirdest memory i can remember so many things... but i guess it's just what triggers the memory

i think my psych teacher told us about this study where drunk people were taught things and best recalled the information when they were drunk again... and several different scenarios but i think the point of the study was to show that you can recall things better when you are in the same state of mind

Every time I hear a lawn mower from a far distance it always takes me back to this beautiful day if not the best day I've ever seen or had when I was about 15. The entire neighborhood came out to play basketball and football. We were out from 10am to midnight playing. While we were playing football on this big field , it was the sound of this lawn mower, somebody cutting grass on that perfect day. It was like 80 degrees with a breeze without a cloud in the sky. I hate that I ever grew up every time I go back to this day. If I could chose my heaven, that would be it. That entire day, the setting, the sounds..... it was perfect.
