RICHMOND, Va. (AP)-A co-defendant of suspended NFL quarterback Michael Vick has been released from federal prison after completing a two-month sentence in the dogfighting conspiracy.

A spokeswoman for the U.S. Bureau of Prisons said Friday that Tony Taylor was released Thursday from the federal prison work camp in Lewisburg, Penn.

He pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court last July to one federal count of conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of illegal gambling and to sponsor a dog in animal fighting

Prosecutors said Taylor cooperated with the government in the case against Vick and two other men for their roles in operating Bad Newz Kennels.

Vick is serving a 23-month sentence at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kan.

if vick was smart he would have been talking from the start and he would of seen no jail time or 2 months like this dude got

Yep. People can complain about Michael Vick getting screwed by the system and whatever, but it's his own fault for lying and not cooperating withinvestigators, failing a drug test, on and on... Michael Vick made his own bed. Shoulda been snitchin like his boy, and he'd have gotten off much easier.
 
how is Vick gonna snitch when he was the ringleader? that's like saying if Frank Lucas should have snitched on his cousins

he definitely could have helped himself out by not denying at first, and by not failing a drug test... but he would have definitely seen more than a year atthe end of the day, no matter what.

wouldn't be surprised if this snitch is laying in a ditch sometime soon.i know how immature and ignorant that sounds, but i'm guessing there's a lot of angry people who don't agree with what he did.

when is mv7 gonna be accepted into that drug program?! the approval is taking forever.

Frank Lucas did snitch

In his house authorities found $584,683.He was later convicted of both federal and New Jersey state drug violations. The following year he was sentenced to70 years in prison. Once convicted Lucas provided evidence that led to more than 100 further drug-related convictions. In 1981 after 5 years in prison his40-year Federal term and 30-year state term were reduced to time served plus lifetime parole.
