Mickey Mantle Appreciation

I just finish reading his book by Tony Castro's Mickey Mantle Prodigal son. This book made me realize how great of a switch hitter he was. 3 MVP Seasons, 1Triple Crown, 18 world Series Home Runs. 7 World Series rings. First ballot to the Hall of Fame. If he stayed away from those drank nights and took care of hisinjures he would probably hit a 1000 career hrs. He finish his career with 535 Hrs and he had unbelieveable speed. What y'all say?

i work with alot of old timers, some of the stories tell tell me about the mick give me chills. they talk about him him and they just shake their heads inamazement . wish i could've seen em ......

I am only 25 but man the stories of his play days were awesome. His father mutt mantle use to work in the mines and when he came home, he would train Mickeyhit right and left. If you like baseball you would want to know the past, how Don Larsen pitch a perfect game in a world series and because Mickey Made aawesome catch to saved his perfect game. Stories of how Billy Martin and Mickey use to get drunk and hitting hrs out the park when they had hang overs andrunning the bases all confused. They didn't make millions but they sure loved the game.
