Before I saw Trotter's tweet it was because Gruden is the safest guy in the NFL. He has the power in the organization now with that guaranteed money.

sohi 23 I think everyone was trying to understand HOW much change was happening over the course of the week and how Reggie fit(s) into everything with Gruden. There was more speculation than actual understanding. Now we are getting more clarity.
I would like to think that someone who has stood with the organization for years dumping contracts and building contracts including franchise contracts has more job security than most. But **** happens.

The problem to me isn't that Derek is sensitive. It's that he seemingly needs to be liked by his teammates to feel good.

How can you be a leader and have that concern? Leaders lead, and that often comes at the cost of being liked or being a friend. He has to come away from this season understanding that whatever demands he makes of himself he must expect from his teammates as well. Leading by example is not enough for everyone; understand who requires more and make sure you are vocal about your expectations. Derek got his bag, he needs to now use the influence that comes with it to make his team better.

considering how much he loves Kobe, he should've picked up the Mamba mentality. Kobe dgaf who you are, just win. DC needs to go full savage Kobe in their first OTA/practice
