Hey NT, when did you move out, or what age is the time to move out? I currently just turned 20 in June. And i feel as if i should experience it, i mean i work and go to school so im not just like staying at my parents house eating chips all day playing 360. But then i feel as if i do move out i want to move to another state, but tuition is SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!

suck up your ego and stay at home til you have the funds to do it.

i moved out at 18 but only due to college.

Move out when you can

1) afford it

2) assume responsibility OUTSIDE of living w/ mom & dad

I moved out at 23.

If you're single. I suggest you stay home with your folks and save your money. I moved out just last year at 26 and regret it. All my money basically go to rent and useless bills. 1200 a month is no joke. I could use that money for a monthly house mortgage.

Im going away to school on the other side of the coast in the fall if that counts

To answer your question I moving out at 23. If you decide to move out I suggest you read up on being frugal and about personal finance. You should have an emergency fund, savings account, and don't be afraid to buy things from Good Will.

what people already said. Most important thing is affordability. If you can't pay for rent and other bills,
your debt will just increase. Hence possibly bad credit score and when you get older, harder to get cars or
even buy house. Unless you have super rich parents, stay with your folks.

when u can survive without their help, thats when u dip. if u in school i'd finish up then try to find a gig where u can get yo own spot

This.

It's stupid to move out too soon while you don't have money and then just move back in months later.

I'm 22, and cannot even fathom being at home with my mama...

I would literally cry myself to sleep.

Moved at 21

Not easy. It sounds like your parents got your back

So go man child

I moved two hours away for college if that counts as moving out at 18. After I finish school I plan on moving out of the state, thinking about California, Colorado, or Texas.
