music documentary recommendations

whats up NT,

i'm looking for some suggestions on music documentaries. i know that's a broad request, but really, i'm open to anything. genres i'd be interested in are anything from soul to hip hop to r&b to jazz, blues, rock, etc. they could be about record labels, artists, eras of music, whatever. i just want to be introduced to some quality documentaries, preferably some rare ones. hopefully ya'll get that idea of what i'm looking for.

The Dirty States of America- If you're into southern hip-hop you will like this.  If you're not into southern hip hop, this will be at least a very good history lesson, and may offer some perspective on the matter.
musicdocs.com has a lot that you can stream sorted by genre

vh1 used to have some good ones about punk and hair bands, can't recall the names off hand though
